Our Villas – Antique Thai houses (ruean thai) with provenance dating back over a century – represent the pinnacle and elegance of residential architecture of the Central Plain of Thailand and offer between 50 and 98 square metres of combined living space. Raised on stilts and topped with a distinctive gabled roof complete with handmade clay tiles, the restored teakwood Villas reflect the social, cultural and religious beliefs as well as the traditional way of life of the Thai people. Refitted to suit modern lifestyles, the upper level of each Villa houses a suite of bedroom, study area and spacious Italian marble bathroom featuring the latest amenities. A covered, private, open-air balcony extends from the suite for you to enjoy our lush tropical garden.
Each Villa offers garden, courtyard plunge pool, main swimming pool or mountain view. Some Villas feature a covered, open-air living room on the ground level decorated with objet d’arts and antiques from our Owner’s Private Collection.
Two to three Villas can be reserved together to form a Terrace Villa or Private Pool Villas with private salt-water plunge pools and garden courtyards. Each villa is individually decorated and very unique.

Located on trading routes between India and China, Phuket was subjected to foreign influences long before many other parts of Thailand. Ships would anchor in the safe harbours of Phuket and wait for the northeast monsoon winds which would allow them to proceed to India.
The interior jungle was inhabited by indigenous tribes until they were displaced in the 19th century by tin miners. The coastal areas were inhabited by Chao Leh, sea-gypsies who made their living through piracy and fishing for pearls. Although threatened by development, Chao Leh villages can still be found along the coast of Phuket and neighbouring islands.
Phuket first became part of a Thai state during the thirteenth century when Thai armies from Sukhothai wrestled control of the island from the Sirivijaya Empire based in Sumatra.
Ananta Villas Phuket, we are located on middle east and west side of phuket island. guest will take 5 minute drive to get experience sunrise at rawai beach and beautiful sunset of thailand at Promthep cape. Driving 20 minute to Phuket old town, Central Phuket, Decathlon.
The complimentary shuttle bus service exclusively for Ananta Phuket guests runs three times daily between the resort, Nai Harn Beach, Promthep Cape and Chalong, where you can shop for local and international groceries. Shuttle departure times are 10am, 1pm and 4pm.
For trips across the island we can arrange a taxi for individuals and groups. If you’d like to drive yourself then we can help you hire a car or motorbike for the day. Airport transfer can also be arranged. Contact the Transport Counter for more information. We’ll be more than happy to help.
